Phantom for Music Producers

Phantom is an MCP server that runs inside Claude. Ask it to check your LUFS, flag phase issues, or identify frequency masking and you get actual numbers back. Not "sounds a little muddy." Numbers.

Check loudness before you bounce

Spotify targets -14 LUFS integrated. Apple Music targets -16. YouTube targets -14. Getting this wrong means the platform turns you down (or the limiter does damage trying to keep you loud). Phantom's analyze_loudness tool measures integrated loudness, true peak, and dynamic range against streaming targets, so you know where you stand before you send anything out.

Find frequency masking in your mix

Most muddy mixes aren't EQ problems. They're masking problems. Kick and bass fighting at 80Hz, vocals and guitars stacking in the 2-4kHz range, the result goes soft and nothing cuts through. Phantom's analyze_masking and multi_stem_masking tools show you exactly which frequency ranges are competing across stems, so the EQ moves aren't guesses.

Catch problems before they reach mastering

Phantom's detect_problems tool runs a full diagnostic across your mix: clipping, phase issues, low-end buildup, stereo imbalance. The full_diagnostic runs all checks at once and returns a prioritized list. Send a clean mix to mastering.
